Meet the Coaches

Don Kimball began coaching the Wilson Barracudas Swim Team in 1989.  His involvement in competitive swimming began almost 50 years ago as an age group swimmer.  He soon began teaching swimming and began his swimming career while still in college.  He has coached State and Regional Championships, National Qualifiers and nationally ranked swimmers.

Coach Kimball's philosophy is, "It is not talent that leads to success, but character."  His coaching focus goes beyond technical swimming skills  to include coaching the values of commitment, responsibility, and sportsmanship.  Coach Kimball believes in the importance of friendships developed while being part of the team.  He also believes in the importance of enjoying swimming as a lifetime sport.

All members of the coaching staff are  professionally trained and certified by USA Swimming and the American Swim Coaches Association.
