Workout Levels and Groups

The team is currently divided into levels which are split into groups. These are designed to meet the needs and abilities of individual swimmers.

Level 1 (Monday - Friday; 4-6 p.m.)

This group is composed of swimmers who are committed to being the best they can be. Minimum requirements are attendance at five two hour practices each week, ten 100’s freestyle on 1:30 and proficiency in other strokes. We explore new territory, push our limits, and challenge ourselves daily. Definitely not for the faint hearted!

Level 2 (Monday - Friday; 4-6 p.m.)

This group is designed for middle school and older motivated swimmers. Practice workouts are two hours and are available five days a week. The training is difficult and is designed to challenge swimmers to explore abilities they didn’t know they had.

Level 3 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday; 4:30-6 p.m.)

This group meets three to four times a week for one and a half hours. The purpose of this group is to provide swimmers who are unable to make the time commitment of the other groups the opportunity to maintain conditioning, improve strokes and attend meets. The group also acts as a transition for swimmers on their way to Level II.

Level 4 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday; 5-6 p.m.)

In this group, you will learn all four strokes, their turns and starts, plus workout organization and beginning race strategies. You have three one-hour practices a week available to you. This is our beginning group composed of our typical 12 and under swimmers. This group gives a swimmer a chance to sample competitive swimming, learn new skills, and prepare for the next level.
